SOME GREAT GIVEAWAYS

You're already spending enough money during the holidays, so what's better than getting some free stuff for yourself? (Or to give as gifts, if you're feeling generous.)

First off, High Gloss (the new online magazine founded by Paloma of
La Dolce Vita) is giving away an adorable monogrammed calendar and personalized blotter by Dabney Lee. Enter here.

Second, Apartment Therapy's annual holiday giveaway is back, and I really want that cowhide rug.

Last but definitely not least, the always fabulous Eddie Ross is doing what he does best in this video: making really cheap stuff look like a million bucks.

Courtesy of Kmart and Sears, he's giving away $250 to spend at either store.

What would I want to buy at Kmart or Sears, you ask?

As it so happens, I too am a pretty big fan of finding cheap stuff that doesn't look cheap. So I spent a while on the Kmart website and found plenty of things I would happily buy.

clockwise from... clock:
Chaney Wall Clock Retro Star, $19.99
Baxton Studio Plastic Club Chair Set, $163.79 for 2
Surya Goa Rug, starting at $259
Surya 8x11 Flirty Decorative Rug, $332.99
85" Arch Floor Lamp - Marble Base - $149.99

Yup, those Eames knockoffs are cheaper than Overstock.

clockwise from upper left:
Ty Pennington Console Table, $149.99
Set of 3 Apothecary Jars, $24.99
Ty Pennington Lily Table, $649.99
Baxton Studio Lia Acrylic Stool set of 2, $224.10

clockwise from upper left:
Retro Table Alarm Clock, $8.99
Jaclyn Smith Today set of 2 Teal 12" Tapers, $0.99
Greek Key Natural Mat, $11.69
Sparta Seafoam 8x10 Rug, $75
Wayborn Crescent Wooden Stool, $229

Yes, that is an 8x10 rug for $75. To match some colored tapers worthy of Eddie Ross.
